Save your Saturday

Grocery shopping is a time and money intensive process. Precious weekend moments are often spent wandering through grocery store isles. It doesn’t have to be this way. Before you spend part of your next weekend and your hard earned money in your local grocery store, consider these things:

  1. Know before you go. Have a plan of what you need to purchase before you enter the grocery store. Although an extra box of cookies may bring temporary happiness they may not be worth the extra strain on your finances.

  2. Map it out. Avoid unnecessary meandering around the store. Start in one aisle and work your way methodically through the store. Pinballing back and forth from one side of the store to the other takes up time and energy that could be spent on more important things.

  3. Bring reusable bags. Apart from being stylish and keeping plastic out of landfills, reusable bags handle more groceries than plastic bags. Using fewer bags means fewer trips when taking those groceries inside.

Whether you are a grocery shopping expert, or a grocery shopping novice, we can all agree that grocery shopping can be done better.

Save some time. Save some energy. Save the planet.
